We are proud to announce we are sponsoring Cambridge University Eco Racing (CUER), as they seek to break new records at the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge (WSC) 2017. The sponsorship has ensured CUER’s progress at the WSC is reported by a dedicated media vehicle, to monitor the challenge every step of the way, and report back to their supporters in the UK and the rest of the world.
CUER is a team of ambitious students, who have created a cutting edge solar powered vehicle, to travel across the outback in Australia. Since their founding in 2007, they have become the UK’s number 1 solar powered team to enter the challenge. CUER aim to maintain this title, by traveling 3,000KM from Darwin to Adelaide faster than any British team since the event started in 1987. The challenge will evaluate how their vehicle copes with blistering temperatures, travelling thousands of kilometres, whilst raising awareness of the benefits of a low-carbon future.
Victoria Ellis, Account Director, will be leading the account. She said: “The opportunity to become CUER’s Media Partner is truly exciting; they’re innovative, unique and pioneers of automotive solar technology. We are proud to be a part of their journey across Australia!”
Xiaofan Zhang, Project Manager said: “As a team, we have worked really hard to develop our technical and manufacturing skills this competition cycle, in order to ensure we can have our most successful entry ever for the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge 2017. We are very happy to have such an enthusiastic Media Partner as KISS, who can ensure that our public image reflects the great work we have achieved internally.”
As part of sharing their journey with the public, CUER are offering the opportunity for people to sponsor their own solar kilometre of the challenge, so that everyone can get involved and be part of their story.
CUER’s collaboration with KISS will ensure the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge is followed, for the public to witness, whilst highlighting the spectacular achievements of the dedicated students. Each student manages to balance a tough academic lifestyle at Cambridge University, with the intense pressure of developing cutting edge solar powered vehicle. The KISS team will comprise Victoria Ellis, Olly Cooper and Hannah Room.
